How it works

  1. 1

    Install from the Microsoft Store

Get hCalls from the Microsoft Store. If Store access is blocked, use the direct .exe or IT .msi installer on this page.

  2. 2

Sign in with your hCalls account

Use the same account as web and extension so credits follow you.

  3. 3

    Launch before your interview

Start a session, confirm audio, and keep the HUD off shared windows.

Best for

  • Live coding and IDE screen shares on Windows
  • Proctored assessments that watch the desktop
  • Candidates who want a desktop overlay instead of a browser-only setup

Everything You Want to Ask
Before You Buy

Setup, privacy, speed, and platform questions - answered directly.

Is the Windows app free to try?

Yes. Create a free hCalls account (50 credits, no card), install from the Microsoft Store, and sign in.

Where do I get the Windows app?

Install hCalls from the Microsoft Store. If Store access is blocked on your PC, use the Direct download (.exe) or IT installer (.msi) on this page.

How does the Windows overlay stay out of screen share?

The desktop HUD uses OS-level window display affinity so supported screen-sharing and recording tools do not capture the overlay. Always test with your meeting app’s share preview.

Do I still need Chrome for Windows?

No. The desktop app is a separate install. Chrome extension and Web Copilot remain available if you prefer browser workflows.

What Windows versions are supported?

Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). The Microsoft Store listing is the recommended install path.
